We have a biblical mandate as Jews of the Diaspora to financially support a) Israel, b) the poor / widows of Israel, c) the poor/widows of our Jewish communities here, d) the poor/widows that are not Jewish....not necessarily in that order. There will always be people who must hate or be cynical, but "love covers a multitude of sins." I love the blog here, and I loved this post.
