Our beautiful and only homeland – or Planet Earth is in danger. Mankind went berserk. Human intelligence made us for the first time so strong, that we can easily destroy our Globe and we are on our way to do this. The culprits are the not the ordinary people who struggle with daily life’s challenges and go after their business in the pursuit of happiness. The culprits are those, who believe to know what real happiness is and find it is their duty, to force their kind of happiness on others. This was always so also in history, but without nuclear, chemistry and germ power. In history, sometimes even discussions helped to bridge some problems. But in today’s world-confrontation we reached the point of the Tower of Babylon, we don’t understand each other.

Extreme Islam can not understand, why someone can not believe in their interpretation of God and why we think, act and dress in such unholy ways. And we can not understand that freedom to think, to act and to be as we are and treasure – is a crime.

At the dawn of Islam, Muslim warriors burst out of Arabia and conquered in relatively very short time Syria, Palestine and extended their conquest deep into Asia, Africa and even Europe. Spain was in their hands and eventually they were stopped only the gates of Vienna. And now we experience another attempt to bring Islam – now grown to 1200 million strong – to the rest of the world.

This war is very complicated because both, Islam and the free world are not united in themselves. Islam is split, as a part of it, does not want to live under the laws of extreme Islam. The free world is split in the way how to protect itself. Non-violent Islam can not act or speak up, because they are under the spell of the extremes and are also afraid to be accused of blasphemy. Silence can be a crime or a lie – both a danger for everybody involved.

The Western world is limited by its moral values, which puts itself in a handicap against ruthless murderers. Also political correctness forbids sometimes saying the truth. We could not say the truth, that we needed after 9/11 strong bases within the heart of Islam to counter a build-up of more dangerous terror and also to have a handle on oil. If we had announced this truth, it would have damaged our secret allies – the moderate Islams. Even if moderate Arabs are interested to help us against their extremists and do it silently, an open announcement of Western intent to establish bases, would have triggered opposition against their moderates. So politically correct, we did not say that these bases were needed for our safety, but for the sake of helping the mistreated population of Iraq by Sadam and also create Democracy. The threat of the WMD were also a good sounding excuse.

So the world of Islam is split between religious domination seeking extremists, and a part of the population who would prefer the freedom of the West. The world of the West is split between those who are willing to fight for freedom, and with those who believe that “not fighting,” will assure our freedom. And so the passive parts in the world of Islam and the passive parts in the world of the West working involuntarily hand in hand.

Every chess-player knows that the great danger is not the next step of the opponent, but what comes after this, the next and the next step. Unfortunately, too many don’t look ahead, they want the good thing and they want it now.

It is not be the power of modern technique that may destroy the Globe and us, it may be our own shortsightedness. If we can not see the evil that endangers us in the future, we will not and can not fight against it. But this is exactly what we have to do.
