Every day droves of innocent people are killed
Every day droves of innocent people are killed.
The blood of the victims and the tears of their beloved, scream to heaven. The killer, when he does not go straight to heaven, goes home, touches five times a day with devotion the ground with his forehead, feels deepest satisfaction and is proud for having achieved a great victory for Allah.
Muslims claim, that their religion is a religion of peace. But a religion is not judged by the writings of their holy books, but by the behavior of its followers. And according to their actions, we can name the, by extreme Islam inflicted war on mankind; the “Holy Senseless War!”
Because this holy war is senseless, it is hard for sensible people to understand it. But it is even harder to understand, because there are no clear definitions of physical or mental borders. It is not only Western against Eastern culture, Democracy against dictatorship, Muslims against infidels, but secondary internal struggles amongst both parties that add to the prevailing confusion even more. Within the Muslims you have struggles between the Shiites andd the Sunnis, those who want to impose the Sharia laws on everybody and those who simple want to live in peace. And there are many more points of disagreements.
Within the Western world the disagreements are not less. Part of it is because of the influx of Muslims, who escape by the millions to the West and make their influence felt. Part of it is based on legitimate discussions in the search for a solution. Part of it is based on politics or by people who always know best. And part - maybe most - are people, who simply don’t realize the great danger. Many of those who don’t understand it believe that mild-mannered, or submissive actions will work; that speaking, preaching or explaining will make the slightest difference. Even Israel’s unconditional withdrawal from Lebanon and Gaza and its negative results, taught nobody a lesson that he or she didn’t want to learn.
Another hindrance to understand the enemy is the discrepancy between our notion of life. Our main values are based on life, love and peace. With extreme Islam it is: hate, fight (jihad) and death. It is like fire and water - literally and figuratively - worlds apart. Water and fire don’t mix, and when the fire that attacks us is mixed with oil- it is even worse.
So what can be done? In the world of Islam, the moderates have to stop their acrobatic dance by trying to please both sides. It is on them, to save their real and legitimate religion. It is on them, to look for their troubles within their own ranks and not to find excuses by blaming constantly the other. It is on them, to bring education to their children according to the current world of progress and not in the destructive ways of hate and death.
In our world, we have first to open our eyes and to recognize the huge and real danger that is facing us and the whole world.. The danger comes from “them” and not from us - as many love to blame us, as the “ugly Americans,” or the “aggressive Jews.”
And we have to know that to accomplish the trick of survival we have to be strong, show our strength and execute it. As bad as the use of power from our side can be, it will be far better to act than to react..
God should help us from our enemy and also from the naive and ignorant amongst us.
I am Shlomo Fleischmann
